CANADIAN FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE + HUNTING INITIATION WITH FIREARMS
- Course duration : two courses of 10 and 7 hours respectively, usually offered over two consecutive days
- Cost 2020 : $ 132 including for each course, the exams
Completion of the full CFSC course (in-classroom presence AND 2 exams) combined with the IHF course is required to obtain a Hunter's Certificate (firearm category). To obtain this certificate, you must be at least 12 years old (on the day of the first course), be domiciled in Quebec and have lived in Quebec for at least 183 days in the last year. The Hunter's Certificate obtained as a result of these courses is required to complete an unrestricted firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PPA) application (rifles and shotguns for hunting and sport shooting). Note that a photo ID will be required during class.
